The world of technology looks very different than it did a few years ago. It has saturated every industry.

The pet / pet health industry is no different. People are taking their connected, tech driven lifestyles and looking for products that help them care for their pets.

The trajectory was completely thrown off course. Many of the audacious dream-chasers who found their career in the airlines have been furloughed until further notice. Standing on this side of the Pandemic — -with all the unprecedented events of the last year behind us — it is illogical to attempt a guess where the next few years will take us, and how abrupt the turns may be.

But we must plan anyway.

The one clear thing is — the thing worth holding on to — is that pilots are pivot-ers. They are overcomers. They use natural laws and bend them to their wills with science.

Think about it. You experience crosswinds on a daily basis. And just how do you handle those forces that impede your goals? You use what you have — knowledge and resources — to offset and leverage advantage so that you can accomplish the landing, take off….. Whatever your goals. — Your business goals are no different!

In some situations, pilots may even find themselves blown off course by a spontaneous gust — as with the spontaneity of the Pandemic — but by embracing the change and knowing the value of your instruments, the charted path is still possible.

Are your goals still possible?

The entire aviation industry has been hit and hit again. Pivoting is the only way to survive the huge shifts that have occurred. Despite the obstacles, the need for the aviation industry is booming, and interest is growing.

That’s all you need to know to get moving.

With all the regulations and new operating procedures, General Aviation and flight training are in full swing in may places across the country.
Statistics show that the airlines have been hit hard by the Pandemic. Barnstormers grasping at straws for solutions to maintain safe flight — and guess what?

It looks like Charter flight is the “safe”- socially distant, and most desirable effort.
Business and charter are going to skyrocket if the word gets out that the price is right.

Dissatisfaction with big airline’s customer experience has dwindled for years. Perhaps this is the push the public needs to seek safer options. Safety is something the aviation community has always been about. Most of our FAR’s and checklists are written in blood, so to speak, and the focus of every responsible aviator is always on safe flight.

Here’s the Bad News:
The Airlines complied with every new and changing bit of ebb-and-flow the last few months has thrown at it AND STILL seem to be suffering from lower passenger volumes than in preceding years. People are still uncomfortable with breathing the circulated air from coughing strangers in the next aisle over. They are inconvenience by the tight seating, and they expect a higher level of indulgence for the cost.

However…..
Private flight sectors continue to see a silent increase. No one is talking about it. Why? More people than ever are looking to private air transportation to get to their destinations — and that means a demand in smaller jet pilots.

Business charter has seen an uptick in travel, tourism and recreational flights have been an outlet for many people who just want to get out and engage with others again. Student enrollments are at an unusual high as well, and at a younger age than the industry has seen in a while.

Here are 3 ways to improve your reception and facilitation of interest and focus your efforts

1 — Social Media — Facebook is the most popular platform for pilots and prospective pilots. Facebook is a wealth of demographic information. There are two markets during this timeframe. Recreational pilots, and profession-seeking pilots. And the demographics could not be more different.

And you need to accommodate both. Recreational pilots are typically 45 or older, earn over 125,000 a year, and have a net worth of over 500,000. Your profession-seeking pilots are typically 18–25-year-olds with only a high school diploma.

Accordion to public accessible FB audience insight tools, there are approximately 4 million profession-seeking pilots interested in pilot training post-pandemic.

There has been a higher google search demand for the term “ Flight school near me” in recent months than in googles history (since 2004)

What are you doing with all that interest?
How are you harnessing the demand in your area?

2 — Relationship — The world has a deeper pandemic that has been occurring for many more years than the Coronal virus. And that is authentic relationships. Although social media was the first point, social media has also caused an emotional deficiency in our society — especially for our younger people.

Creating a real community and welcoming atmosphere with instructors who connect with students is a vital aspect of an effective flight school. Relationships that — for these profession-seeking pilots — will affect the rest of their careers and lives.

3 — Google Maps — People search local terms when looking online. By utilizing Google Maps you will show up better in terms like “near me” and regional names. — set up a free google business account, and link it with your address to appear in “near me” searches.

These simple tips will improve your ability to be found and connect with prospects. Copywriters can help you harness your experience and develop your offer to students.

The Copywriting Benefit

We have been saying that you attract new prospects by showing up in google searches.

But How do you show up? To show up, you need to have good content that answers prospects’ questions they search for.

This is known as “SEO”.

It is a big scary term that is actually just a method to organize and sort through the millions of entries available on the internet into the most relevant to the things to the query.

The only thing you need to know about SEO is: You already know the answers to the questions your students have. You just have to digitize them in an appealing way to show up on top. A copywriter can help you do this. Posting frequently — 3–4X a month — increase your “mass” and make google think of your website as having more authority. It’s a long-term plan, but with the strong demand, it might be worth your attention.

Copywriting uses words to connect with your prospects as they read, and lots of connection and personality leads to trust. Aviation is a trust industry.

A copywriter can transform your reader’s perspective from “that’s nice” to “ I think I need to do this”. — when they are ready for the next step, it will be toward your front door.
